I've told Carli before that she's tough. We both agree she is stubborn, yes, but even she didn't that she was as tough as she showed me she was last night and early this morning.
Carli had said all along that she wanted to have a natural child birth with Maddi. Not every woman has the chance and that's cool. Carli did so she went for it.
Little did she know how painful this was going to be. 9 hrs in labor yet only 2 doses of Stadol or Butorphanol, 1mg each. That's all the pain killer she took to bring Maddi into this world through what is such an amazing, professionally assisted process to be a part of and witness.
Doctors, especially nurses, are worth their pay many times over. Moms could never be compensated enough for their sacrifice.
I know we've all said it before, but women really do have a stronger inner-focus and hence, they seem to be better at dealing with physical pain. Carli certainly is no exception to the strongest of women. She's a Trooper and she showed it today.
